Yizkor is the time when you remember a special relative who died in years past. Yizkor, "Remember," means you will never stop missing this person. Although remembering may be painful for you, Yizkor supports your desire to keep their memory alive. You may shed tears, you may be sad, but you will reconnect to the goodness and the happy times spent with your loved ones. The Psalmist reminds us, "Those who sow in tears will reap in joy" (Psalm 126).
