Family Shabbat Experience Service & Dinner during Hanukkah at CAI

Then we’ll share Shabbat dinner with latkes, followed by Open Lounge in the Linda Roy Youth Center with games and fun. At 10:30am, we’ll join together to participate in a Maccabiah Competition will some serious silliness; followed at 11:30am by a Hanukkah Party with food & music! Adult Education Class at CAI: "Customary Hanukkah Customs"

Rabbi Robert Eisen will present “Customary Hanukkah Customs” Why do we celebrate this holiday as we do? Together, we’ll explore some of the more popular/public and esoteric ways in and through which we observe this holiday. There being more than meets the eye, we will take this opportunity to see, as a byproduct of our study, how this holiday became so much more than it may have been originally intended. Following the kollel, attendees are invited to stay and participate in our Religious School Hanukkah Workshop and Party. No charge to attend, but a contribution (non-perishable food item or monetary donation) to the Community Food Bank is appreciated.

Free box of Chanukah candles per family. Bring your menorah and a wrapped, new or gently used gift. No broken or dirty gifts please. New gifts no more than $10. Serving latkes, applesauce, sour cream and jelly donuts. Dreidels and entertainment will also be provided.

Greatest Hanukkah on Earth: XIX We are the Light
