Gallery Chat: Neighbors

Join us for a Gallery Chat with Dr. Margaret Redmond McFaddin, Pastor at Prince Chapel AME Church, the second oldest African-American church in Southern Arizona, founded in 1905 in Barrio Viejo. Prince Chapel has been a neighbor of the Jewish History Museum (then Temple Emanu El) on South Stone Ave since 1941. Dr. Redmond McFaddin will be joined by members of her congregation to discuss the above photograph of Prince Chapel's choir performing a concert at Temple Emanu El. The congregations were also involved in Tucson’s Committee for Interracial Understanding, founded in 1943.

This event is co-sponsored by KXCI Tucson's Community Radio. KXCI will air an interview about the historic and current relationship between Prince Chapel and the Jewish History Museum ahead of the Gallery Chat.
