Jewish History Museum and Holocaust History Center

As you walk into the Jewish History Museum, you are greeted with stunning oriental rugs, and floor-to ceiling-windows. A timeline of events orients you to the early happenings of Jewish culture in Tucson, and artifacts from each era further illustrate the events of the time. Be sure to visit.

The Holocaust History Center at the Jewish History Museum is an educational institute dedicated to an ongoing examination of the Holocaust through the lived experiences of individuals who survived the war and later lived in southern Arizona. To date, over 260 individuals from 18 nations have been identified as those who were persecuted by Nazism, survived, and later arrived in southern Arizona. These individuals, our neighbors, who have contributed to our community in numerous ways, are highlighted in the Center’s examination of this complex history. Additionally, the Holocaust History Center is committed to illuminating contemporary human rights abuses as they occur.
