Everyone is welcome to join us on the 8th Night of Hanukkah!

We’ll have a “scrumdiddlyumptious” dinner buffet with “Oompa Loompa” latkes, a chocolate fountain with sufganiyot, and non-alcoholic “Fizzy Lifting” drinks. There’ll be “Golden” tickets hidden in chocolate gelt with prizes for the winners; dreidel games and activity stations for the kids; and lighting the hanukkiah (bring your own if you’d like). Throughout the evening, we’ll show Hanukkah YouTube videos and Cantorial Soloist Nichole Chorny will lead a sing-a-long.

$13 per person or at the door.

Tot Shabbat in the Northwest

Do you have a tot? What to celebrate Shabbat?

Join other Northwest families with young children and we celebrate Shabbat together at the Northwest Division office of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona.

Rabbi Batsheva Appel, from Temple Emanu-El, will lead us in song and prayer followed by fun PJ Library Shabbat crafts. Meet new friends and help us bring in Shabbat!

All Tot Shabbats are held at Jewish Federation Northwest (190 W Magee Rd., Ste 162) from 5p.m. to 6 p.m.

With our families, we welcome Shabbat with rhythm, movement, ruach (spirit) and song. Then we’ll share Shabbat dinner, followed by Open Lounge in the Linda Roy Youth Center with games and fun.

Dinner $25 per family (two adults & up to 4 children) for CAI members; guest family $30; adults (13+) $10 per person. RSVP a must by Dec. 17.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a fun day of roller skating …  We’ll have thrills (and a few spills!), laughs and snacks. “Skate-mates” available for those who need a little stability on the rink.

Entrance fee: $5 per person all ages (skaters and non-skaters) includes skate rental, “Skate-mate” (if needed) & light refreshments. (Limited snacks for sale at concession stand). RSVP required by Dec. 19.

For each family that brings a Jewish family who has not experienced these services and/or dinners with us before, we’ll cover the cost of dinner for the host family and their guests! At this service, we welcome Shabbat with rhythm, movement, ruach and song. Then we share Shabbat dinner, followed by Open Lounge in the Linda Roy Youth Center with games and fun. Let us share the spirit of SHABBAT and help others live their Judaism together… with us.

Celebrate the “new year” for trees. Enjoy fresh and dried fruits, seeds and juices grown on trees; includes dairy dinner (tuna salad, chips, challah rolls) & dessert, and each attendee will take home a parsley seedling for use on Passover!
