Secular Humanist Jewish Life Cycle Celebrations
On Saturday, August 9th, Rabbi Jack Silver will speak on ”Secular Humanist Jewish Life Cycle Celebrations: Preserving Traditions while being True to Ourselves.”
The program will focus on the manner in which secular Jews celebrate life-changing events: births, coming-of-age (bar and bat mitzvah), weddings and end-of life events.
The Program will take place at the Murphy-Wilmot Library, 530 N Wilmot Road from 2:00 – 4:30 PM.

Temple Emanu-El Chardonnay Shabbat services
Join us for Chardonnay Shabbat on Friday night services at Temple Emanu-El from June 20- Aug 29 at 5:00 pm. All are invited to unwind from the week at the lovely "Pre-Oneg" of wines or juice, fruit and cheese before services. At 5:45 pm, join us for our song-filled, Kabbalat Shabbat services with Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon, Rabbi Jason Holtz and Cantorial Soloist Marjorie Hochberg.
