Nov. 24: This Candle’s on Fire: Greatest Hanukkah on Earth at Temple Emanu-el
Spectacular pre-Hanukkah celebration Sunday, November 24th at 4:30pm for the Greatest Hanukkah On Earth XV! There will be a torch-lighting of the giant menorah, then magnificent performances of songs, stories, dance, drama, with Rabbi Sam Cohon, Rabbi Batsheva Appel, Cantorial Soloist Marjorie Hochberg, the Avanim Rock Band, the Armon Bizman Band, and much more. Afterwards, a kosher brisket and latke dinner, catered by Men’s Club, will be available. All are welcome; show is free, prepaid reservations for dinner required. Nov. 29: 100 Menorah Shabbat Chanukah Celebration with Congregation Or Chadash
Join Congregation Or Chadash for the 100 Menorah Shabbat Chanukah Celebration on Fri. November 29 at 6:30pm when the newly repaired “St. Joe” Torah is reunited with the congregation. Nov. 30: CAI’s YACHAD Hanukkah party 
Hanukkah Party exclusively for young adults 22-45; held at private residence. YACHAD is CAI's group for those 22- to 45-years-old to participate in a variety of activities to build relationships with each other and with the synagogue. Dec. 1: Thanksgivikkah Party with the LGBT Jewish Inclusion Project
The Jewish Federation’s LGBT Jewish Inclusion Project invites you to enjoy a Thanksgivukkah event on Sun. December 1 from 5-8pm at New Moon Lounge, 915 W. Prince Road, for a buffet dinner including Manischewitz brined turkey, challah stuffing, latkes with cranberry applesauce and more!  Cost is $25/person includes unlimited buffet, DJ Dance Music, Menurkey lighting, cash bar and raffle prizes. Your ticket purchase is your RSVP, register prior to Nov. 25 to Ellen Freeman at 533-9393. All tickets after Nov. 25 and at the door are $35/person. 

Dec. 2: Weintraub Israel Center Chanukah Party
The Weintraub Israel Center invites you to a Chanukah Party for the whole family on Mon. December 2, 5:30-7pm in the JCC Ballroom.  Sounds and lighting the JCC chnukiyah at 5pm with Shabbat Scott and Julie Zorn, blessing and candle lighting with Rabbi Billy and the THA 8th graders.  Enjoy latkes and sufganiot. Dec. 2: Chanukah at the Zoo with Chabad Tucson 
Chabad Tucson invites the entire community to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Chanukah in true Jewish unity with a public display of light and warmth that will be most memorable!  This spectacular holiday celebration will take place on Monday, December 2 at 5pm at the Reid Park Zoo with activities such as a giant Menorah lighting, delicious holiday food and music, light displays and sculptures, riding the Zoo Express train, arts and crafts booth, and checking out all of the animals and birds!  Cost is $15 per person, no cost for children under 2.  For more information or to purchase tickets, go here.

Dec. 2: Chaverim Chanukkah at Handmaker
Congregation Chaverim and Handmaker residents will celebrate Chanukkah together through blessing, song, latkes and sufganiyot on Mon. December 2 at 5pm at Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging.  All are welcome! For more information, email

Dec. 3: Congregation Anshei Israel Festival of Lights Dinner
Join us for our Hanukkah Party to celebrate the “Festival of Lights.” Includes candle lighting (bring your menorah to light with us, and 8 candles and matches); dinner with latkes & more; performances by CAI’s Adult and Youth Choirs; a readers’ theater production of “Hershel of Ostropol and the Hanukkah Goblins”; sing-a-long; menorah making contest with prizes (get creative at home and bring your menorah to the party; doesn't need to be functional.) $6.13 per person (all ages) with paid RSVP thru Dec. 1; $13 after & at the door. Dec. 14: Latkes & Vodkas with Congregation Anshei Israel
Join us for "Latkes & Vodkas," our adult Hanukkah Party and enjoy a variety of gourmet latkes and toppings, five different martini samplers and decadent dessert bar. Non-alcoholic beverages and a beer & wine cash bar available; plus jazz pianist. Must be 21+. $18 per person with paid RSVP by Dec. 11; $25 per person at the door.
