Jewish boomer singles groups join forces

Kesher, the Jewish singles group for ages 40-65 under the auspices of the Tucson Jewish Community Center, and Rei’ut, the “boomer” singles group for ages 45-65 under the auspices of Temple Emanu-El, have merged. The new group will be called Rei’ut-Kesher for five months, after which it will be known as Rei’ut.
“We were two groups competing for the same people, so we decided to work together instead,” says Gail Ben-Jamin, chairperson of the new group. “Our group is open to all Jewish singles ages 45-65 whether they belong to Temple Emanu-El or not. We will continue to have a variety of activities with many of them having a Jewish content.” Rei’ut-Kesher will hold a planning meeting Wednesday, March 12 at 6 p.m. at the JCC. For more information, contact Ben-Jamin at 544-3602 or gailbj@earthlink.net.
